Sharjah Vinca

The Vinca flower, commonly found along the Khalid Port Corniche and around the city of Sharjah, is an elegant icon in the eyes of Alosh. It has certain healing properties that, among other things, lower blood pressure and cure insomnia. The lulling movement of the boats docked in the port coupled with the ripples they create across the glistening surface of the water evokes the image of a perpetual harmonious dance between the two. This performance, which happens every morning, mimics the healing effects of the Vinca flower, it is therapeutic and allows Alosh to assume a meditative state of being.
